PEEP MY BLOG, YO

Sorry about the title, I've always wanted to say that, it's been a childhood ambition of mine. We are leaving for South Africa today!! Inspired by the likes of the world's prolific bloggers--household names like Perez Hilton and Brian Nichols--I decided to start a blog to chronicle my semester abroad in South Africa. Now, I am probably the least teach savvy person in the 21st century, with the exception of Mark Zuckerberg, who I hear sucks at social networking. Anytime something related to computers comes up in conversation, I mumble something about "pixels" and pretend to text. Needless to say, I know nothing about blogging--where to get one, what to feed it, etc. So I went to the computer and googled "What to do if one wanted to start a blog AND first step" which speaks to my lack of blogging knowledge and also just really poor internet search engine skills. This yielded results ranging from mildly related (lots of 12 step programs out there, all of which involve a first step) to pretty adorable (baby's first step). I sifted through the addicts and baby pictures and this blog is what I came up with. I figure some sort of accountability is a good thing, so feel free to harass me if I don't update this often. I apologize in advance for bad grammar, country grammar, and whatever else you find offensive. I'm going to try my best to just write down everything and get in into the blogosphere. And yeah, that's a word I learned today.
